OGS is a scientific partner of the “EYES ON ICE” project of the explorer Alex Bellini

A few days ago, the first stage of the "EYES ON ICE" project began, in which the explorer Alex Bellini embarks on an adventure in the ice of the North Pole to show the beauty and fragility of these places, whose health is essential for regulating the delicate climatic balance on which our planet depends.

The initiative is structured into a three-year program covering three areas: Alaska in 2024, Greenland in 2025 and the Arctic Ocean in 2026.

The OGS will accompany Alex Bellini on these trips as a scientific partner and supporting him in disseminating the characteristics of these fascinating and challenging polar environments.
