Research Assessment: OGS becomes a member of CoARA

The OGS has officially become a member of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment CoARA, the coalition that aims to redefine research assessment methods and practises.

In January 2022, CoARA began drafting an Agreement on Research Evaluation Reform involving more than 350 organisations from over 40 countries. The result was a document that provides a shared path for change in assessment practises for research, researchers and organisations conducting research, with the overarching goal of maximising the quality and impact of research.

As a member of CoARA, the OGS, which has already signed the agreement, will become an active part of this participatory reform movement aimed at a higher quality, more effective, efficient and inclusive research system.
