ASSESS
Advanced Skills in Safety, Environmental and Security at Sea
The ASSESS project, coordinated by the TC MARE FVG, was co-financed on the call “Blue careers in Europe” (EASME/EMFF/2016/1.2.1.2).
The project offered to the enterprises in the maritime sector employees able to apply the latest technologies, according to the regulations framework, with a specific focus on the safety of people, instruments and environment.
Specifically, the project developed and implemented three educational paths: a second level master, with a Diploma issued by the University of Trieste, addressed to Italian and foreign graduates; a higher education course, addressed to professionals current emploied in the operative management of vessel and off-shore facilities; a refresher course for high-school teachers, aimed at enhancing knowledge concerning multidisciplinary topics related to the maritime sector.
ASSESS activities were developed, besides mare TC FVG, by the University of Trieste, Lloyd's Register, OGS and CNR INSEAN and received the interest of Fincantieri already in the project submission phase.
The project, involved teachers and professionals from the corporate world, with face-to-face classes and workshop, while regional, national and international enterprises offered their availability to welcome the master students for a traineeship period.
