The MaDCrow (Marine Data Crowdsourcing) project involves volunteers who operate a system for monitoring the marine environment on their boats.

The system is based on low-cost sensors that transmit information about the state of the sea to the OGS computer systems, where a real-time map of the quality of the marine environment is reconstructed.
