25 July, Real-Time data are accessible on NODC Portal
The researchers of the National Oceanographic Data Centre (NODC) of OGS have developed an online system to share in (near) real-time validated data from two meteo-oceanographic buoys (MAMBO1 in the North Adriatic Sea and E2M3A in the South Adriatic Sea) using OGC's Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) standards aligned with several Oceanographic communities (EUROFLEETS2, FixO3 , Jerico-Next, ODIP II, RITMARE and SeaDataNet).
To distribute data in (near) real-time are used SWE protocols to guarantee a standard system to share data, as well as, British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) vocabularies to ensure semantic interoperability.
The Web Client developed by 52° North is adopted for data visualization and it is accessible from NODC/OGS web portal.
A particular thank goes to data providers: Vanessa Cardin (E2M3A Observatory) and Marina Lipizer (MAMBO1 buoy) and to Technological Development Unit (TECDEV).
