Biobanks, a public meeting to deepen knowledge and importance
The public meeting "Advantages of real and virtual biobanks in the optimization of research, diagnosis and therapy of diseases" will take place on Friday 22 November at 5pm in the Josef Ressel Hall - Generali Convention Center organized as part of the activities of the The Laboratory on Quantitative Sustainability - TLQS, a project born in 2022 and promoted by the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics – OGS and Fondazione Internazionale Trieste – FIT, thanks to the support of the Ministry of University and Research.
The event aims to explore the many advantages that biobanks, both physical and digital, offer to the world of scientific and medical research. Real biobanks, made up of physical collections of biological samples such as blood, tissues or DNA, and virtual ones, which manage digital data and information from different sources, represent a crucial resource for researchers and doctors. These systems allow access to a wide range of samples and data necessary for the study of complex diseases, such as tumors, genetic diseases and rare diseases.
Participation in the event is free, upon registration at the following link, subject to availability in the room: https://doodle.com/sign-up-sheet/participate/6edd9ca4-f601-4ca1-857a-6b…
