INSTANT 2023: the leading experts in the study of Antarctica in Trieste

The opening session of the international conference INSTANT 2023, which will be held in Trieste from September 11 to 14, will take place on Monday, September 11 at 8:30 a.m. at the Trieste Convention Center (V.le Miramare, 24/2).

The conference is organized by the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics - OGS and the Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research - SCAR, in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Sciences of the CNR, the Regional Agency for the Right to Education - ARDIS, the Museo della Bora Cultural Association, the Trieste ScienceFiction Festival, the Circolo Sommozzatori Trieste and under the patronage of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the City of Trieste, the University of Trieste and the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).

More than 250 researchers from around the world will gather in Trieste for one of the most important events for the scientific community focused on Antarctica and the interactions between the ocean, atmosphere, solid Earth, and Antarctic ice sheet and their global consequences.
