Maritime law, the law of the sea, and the right of scientific research: reflections on the regulatory status of expeditions in polar waters
On 8 May, from 10 am, in the headquarters of the Trieste Port Authority (Piazza Duca degli Abruzzi Luigi Amedeo, 4 - Trieste), the workshop "Maritime law, the law of the sea, and the right of scientific research: reflections on the regulatory status of expeditions in polar waters", an event open to the public organized by the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics - OGS with the Capitaneria di Porto of Trieste and the University of Udine.
The workshop, also available remotely, will alternate contributions in Italian with interventions in English in which experts will discuss the regulatory status of the seas, oceans and polar waters. The event will be moderated by Paola Del Negro, Director General of OGS. The works will be opened by the Commander of Capitaneria di Porto – Guardia Costiera of Compartimento Marittimo of Trieste, CV (CP) Luciano Del Prete.
The workshop is organized under the patronage of the University of Milano-Bicocca - Department of Law, the National Antarctic Research Program - PNRA, the Italian Association of Maritime Law - AIDIM and the Društvo za pomorsko pravo Slovenije - Slovenian Maritime Law Association - DPPS/MLAS.
