OGS benefits from IHS Kingdom Educational Grant Program

Geophysics Section (GEO) of OGS was awarded with the IHS Kingdom Educational Grant Program. 

Since January, 2008, IHS Program has donated thousands of software licenses to over 150 colleges and universities in dozens of countries around the world. Beginning in 2001, yearly grants, including all maintenance support and updates, have been donated with a total estimated value of over $100 million dollars ($100M). Kingdom software is granted under a license that restricts its use to educational and/or research purposes.

The software is of extraordinary value for OGS researchers to implement ongoing collaborations with other Kingdom users and increase scientific data exchange among research institutes from different countries.
