SeaDataCloud user workshop
On April 11, during the next EGU Conference in Wien, OGS, in collaboration with the SeaDataCloud partnership, will present the "SeaDataCloud user workshop" useful tools and services for supporting oceanographic research and improving the transition from data to knowledge.
The goal of the workshop is to illustrate in practice the data flow from data extraction (using SeaDataNet discovery interface) to data elaboration (through specific software tools).
The workshop is intended for all marine scientists that deal with operations and activities at sea (shipping, offshore industry, dredging industry, ...) and with the implementation of EU and international directives, such as directives for water (WFD), marine strategy (MSFD) and integrated coastal zone management (ICZM).
The workshop is articulated in the following sessions:
- Recent developments of discovery interface and access services (Peter Thijsse - MARIS) - https://www.seadatanet.org/Data-Access
- Bringing the Ocean Data View (ODV) Software to the Web (Sebastian Mieruch-Schnülle - Alfred Wegener Institute) - https://www.seadatanet.org/Software/ODV
- Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis (DIVA) software tool (Charles Troupin - University of Liege GHER) - https://www.seadatanet.org/Software/DIVA
