SUS-MIRRI.IT: Results of the first two years of the project presented in Rome

The mid-term meeting of the SUS-MIRRI.IT project took place in Rome, a research project aimed at strengthening the Italian network of microbial collections in order to increase the biotechnological potential of the microbial biodiversity preserved in them.

The OGS with its CoSMi infrastructure, the collection of marine microorganisms with strains of marine microalgae, presented the activities and results achieved after two years of the project. These include the improvement of the characterisation of the cultivated strains through morphological and molecular analyses, the implementation of the local database and its harmonisation with the national database.
