Noixapp is a crowdsourcing solution developed by OGS to measure noise pollution in urban areas, using mobile phone microphones to collect data on urban noise and send it to an integration platform that allows you to create a noise map for an urban area.

The solution is based on a mobile software application (Android and iOS) that allows you to record and calculate sound pressure levels. The geo-referenced data is transmitted to the OGS infrastructure, where it is anonymised, integrated, validated and mapped on an open data web portal.
