BRIGANTINE
Chemico-physical and multispectral Data fusion for Adriatic sea monitoring by autonomous vessel
Brigantine aims to increase the knowledge on the distribution and health status of algal meadows and marine phanerogams by implementing a marine drone with photo/cameras and sensors for visual monitoring of the distribution of submerged meadows and the measurement of chemical-physical parameters and contaminants in the water column. The data collected will enrich a data hub for modeling the distribution of algae and marine meadows, with the aim of simplifying monitoring activities for a more efficient local management of ecosystem resources. Within the project, OGS collaborates by bringing its knowledge on low-cost chemical-physical sensors for monitoring the marine environment and IoT (internet of Things) data management infrastructures.
