SBEP

The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) is a HORIZON Europe co-funded partnership that sees, for the first time, Italian coordination on blue economy issues under the leadership of MUR, and co-coordinated by Norway.

With over 120 experts and 60 public-private partners from 25 countries, the SBEP Partnership aims to foster investments in R&I by aligning the strategic programmes of EU and Associated Countries for a fair and inclusive transition to a climate-neutral and sustainable blue economy, that reconciles ecology, development and competitiveness.

The total investment expected is 450 million euros over seven years, through the launch of six co-funded calls, to support joint programming in R&I on the priority thematic areas of intervention, set out in the Partnership's annual Work Programme and based on the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and the priorities of the Member States and Associated Countries.
