Techera
A new technology era in the Adriatic Sea – Big data sharing and analytics for a circular sea economy
The TECHERA project is co-financed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014/2020 Cooperation Program as part of Cluster 1 "Connectivity from the sea: data-driven solution in the sea economy" and arises from the capitalization of six projects: ADRIREEF, FAIRSEA, ITACA, SUSHIDROP, PRIZEFISH and BLUE KEP which have experimented innovative data-driven practices and approaches in the context of the blue economy.
Starting from these assumptions, TECHERA aims to contribute to the reduction of the carbon footprint of fishing boats and fish markets.
Specifically, the project intends:
- to develop an intersectoral cluster for data sharing, capitalizing on the approach, models and results of FAIRSEA, SUSHIDROP and ADRIREEF projects
- to contribute to smart specialization and to the adoption of advanced technologies to increase the competitiveness of companies in the fishing sector, capitalizing on the apps developed as part of the ITACA and PRIZEFISH projects as well as ecological indicators for the certification of fish products developed by the latter
- to promote innovative career paths in the blue economy, capitalizing on the mobility programs and the education system developed by the BLUE KEP project and the approach of the FAIRSEA project
