Research activities on spatial and temporal variations of macrofaunal communities inhabiting coastal and transitional areas subject to different kinds of impact (both natural and anthropogenic origins).

She is specialized in taxonomic analyses of a particular group of invertebrates: the polychaetes (Annelids).

She studies the biodiversity, functional and trophic features of benthic organisms to describe the coastal ecosystem functioning.
