Umberta Tinivella

She conducts research using oil and gas recovery techniques and approaches in applied geophysics, petrophysics, basin analysis, aquifers, pore fluid analysis, with emphasis on natural gas hydrates in marine and permafrost environments.

She uses standard and unconventional methods to process seismic data, such as WED, AVO, modeling, and theoretical models to describe the physical properties of pore media. At the EAGE conferences, she was awarded the Cagniard Prize and the Best Poster Award.
