Mare Skill: The project between Italy and Croatia on the blu economy has started
The first meeting of the Interreg project "Mare Skill" (Smart and innovative blue skills for a competitive blue economy) took place on 18 and 19 April at the Polytechnic University in Šibenik, Croatia.
The "Mare Skill" project is part of the Italian–Croatian Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2021-2027 and aims to meet the needs of the labour market with the skills required in the blue economy through development programmes and training in areas such as marine tourism, aquaculture and offshore energy
The project is funded with a total of 1.5 million euros and also includes events and conferences to disseminate the results.
"Mare Skill" is an Interreg project between Italy and Croatia, co-funded by the European Union under the Next Generation EU programme, with the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics (OGS) as the main partner. The Polytechnic University of Šibenik (VUŠ) is the main coordinator: the University of Zadar (UNIZD), the University of Rijeka (UNIRI), the Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE), the Fenice Onlus Foundation (FF), the Regional Agency for Technology and Innovation (ARTI) and the University of Trieste (UNITS) are also involved.
