AQUARIUS is an ambitious project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, under grant agreement No 101130915.

Its overarching aim is to provide a highly comprehensive suite of integrated research infrastructures designed to address significant challenges for the long-term sustainability of our unique oceans, seas, and freshwater ecosystems. An impressive range of 57 research infrastructure services will be made available through Transnational Access (TA) Calls, including research vessels, mobile marine observation platforms, fixed marine facilities, experimental research facilities, river & basin supersites, aircraft, drones, satellite services, and sophisticated data infrastructures.

OGS is in charge for the WP 5 – Research Infrastructure Technical training, focused on ensuring the achievement of Objective 5 in AQUARIUS, that is to guarantee customised and highly effective training and technical-scientific support to the users of the research infrastructures, and to prepare the new generations of researchers to properly exploit leading-edge infrastructure services.
