EPOS SP

European project for the enhancement of the sustainability of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS) infrastructure. OGS, in the EPOS SP proposal, taking advantage of experience and ongoing activities, has carried out a study for the establishment of a Regional Partner Facility (RPF) in the Balkans and Adriatic region. The RPF has been designed based on existing relationships and consolidated agreements between countries, also benefiting from the collaboration with the Central Europe Initiative (CEI). In this activity, possible gaps have been identified, and implementation plans have been promoted for the correct recognition of data providers in order to improve the data flow within the region and towards the entire EPOS community. The activity promoted by OGS has been carried out in close relation with the CEI that has supported the Science Diplomacy activity as also indicated in the projects:
