Ice-Ocean Past and Present Interactions in the Eastern Ross Sea

The project involves an integrated geophysical, geological, and oceanographic survey in the area of the Hillary Canyon and the adjacent Glomar Challenger Basin (Eastern Ross Sea) aboard the research vessel Laura Bassi, aimed at understanding the relationship between seafloor morphology, bottom currents, sedimentation, and benthic environmental conditions, as well as shedding light on the sensitivity of the Antarctic ice sheet to climate changes expected in the coming centuries.
